Mosio Launches Randora, a Free Randomization Tool for Research Studies
The web-based platform offers five randomization methods, REDCap-compatible exports, and built-in balance verification at no cost to researchers.
Seattle, WA – April 2, 2026 –
Mosio, Inc., a provider of mobile messaging solutions for clinical research, today announced the launch of Randora, a free web-based randomization platform designed for researchers at universities, hospitals, cancer centers, and research organizations. Randora is available immediately at www.randora.org.
Randora provides researchers with a modern, intuitive interface for generating randomization sequences across five established methods: Simple Random, Block Randomization, Stratified Randomization, Maximum Tolerated Imbalance (MTI) Clinical, and Covariate-Based Balancing. The platform requires no software installation, no account creation, and no fees.
The tool was developed in direct response to feedback from the research teams Mosio works with every day. While several randomization resources exist in the research community, many are limited to a single method, require statistical programming knowledge, or lack compatibility with widely used data management platforms like REDCap. Randora was built to bring multiple proven randomization methods together in one place, with an interface accessible to any member of a research team, not just biostatisticians.
“Randora is our way of giving back to the research community that we’ve been proud to serve for over a decade. It’s free, it’s simple, and it produces the kind of rigorous, reproducible randomization that peer-reviewed research demands,” said Noel Chandler, CEO of Mosio.
Key Features
- Five Randomization Methods: Simple Random, Block, Stratified, MTI Clinical, and Covariate-Based Balancing, each with configurable parameters.
- REDCap-Compatible Export: Download CSV files formatted for direct import into REDCap’s randomization module.
- Built-In Balance Verification: Automated balance checks with quality ratings and recommendations when imbalance is detected.
- Reproducible Results: Optional random seed allows researchers to reproduce identical randomization sequences for audit and verification.
- No Account Required: Fully functional with no sign-up, no login, and no data stored between sessions.
- Privacy by Design: Randora does not collect, store, or transmit participant data. All processing occurs in the browser.
Availability
Randora is available now at no cost at www.randora.org. The tool is optimized for desktop browsers and requires no installation or registration. Researchers are encouraged to review all randomization outputs with their study team or statistician before use in a live study.
