arrangement of letters in which there is a correspondence between the first and the last, between the second and the second last, and so on. This is symbolized ABBA, ABCCBA, using as many letters as there are levels of correspondence.

I thought maybe it was how Yoda talks, but looked it up and that's called a Hyperbaton.

Give answers, I do. =)

I Love Yoda

Today, chiasmus is applied fairly broadly to any "criss-cross" structure, although in classical rhetoric, it was distinguished from other similar devices, such as the antimetabole.

Have a BlackBerry 8300 Curve, it asked me for my password and after the 10th attempt, it wiped out my whole BlackBerry. Is there a way to get that stuff back ? Join or Log In to answer.
Don't think so, sorry. It's a security feature.
-pointblank (0Q / 15A) Fri Jan 4, 2008 9:30am

You can get the stuff back if you had made a backup using Blackberry Desktop software. If not, no way to get it back.

What is the diff between the ideas of thomas hobbs and john locke? Join or Log In to answer.
Hobbes sees man as being evil, whereas Locke views man in a much more optimistic light
-modcom (41Q / 7903A) Thu Jan 3, 2008 1:19pm

Hobbs: People act in their own self interest, amoral in a state of nature.
Locke: People generally good & act so. If Locke were entirely right, W would be a better President.
-Dibs (0Q / 510A) Thu Jan 3, 2008 1:20pm

Not sure of the difference but they were similar in that they took their own tests (or homework).

Hobbes sees natural law as a state of war in which “every man is a enemy to every man.” Locke sees natural law as a state of equality and freedom.

2 Qs: 1) how big a bitch do you have to be to dump a guy on New Years Day and 2) am I wrong to be pissed that I was dumped on New Years Day? Join or Log In to answer.
I guess that sort of depends on you. BUt seeing as you asked (and you are the one that got dumped) I'm going with - she's a HUGE bitch.
-bebop (15Q / 16A) Wed Jan 2, 2008 7:00pm

Perhaps it was her new years resolution. Either way, very much a bitch. Although you should look at is as, at least you don't have to waste another day of your life on that evil bitch.
