opinions needed please. i loved the tv series stargate atlantis. my question is, is stargate SG-1 anything like it? Join or Log In to answer.
Just started watching SG1 myself - I'm only into the first season, but seems quite similar to the first season of Atlantis... Ask again in a week or two, I'll let you know how it goes. :-)

where can i find a conversion tool online to covert lumens into watts. like what is 105 lumens equal in watts? thanks for the help mosio. Join or Log In to answer.
Google. Type 100 lumens in watts in the search bar. great calculator function too.
-forty5cal (86Q / 14A) Tue Dec 30, 2008 10:28pm

i have tried that and got no where. any sites that have that conversion
tool? i really need to know how many watts are in 105 lumens.
-Hawk616936 (34Q / 800A) Tue Dec 30, 2008 10:45pm

They are measuring different things.
Lumens measure the flux of a light produced by a source or received by a surface. Watts measure the power used. Unless the light already has the Lumens and Watts listed, you wont be able to convert.
-estelarobinson (29Q / 1099A) Tue Dec 30, 2008 10:45pm

the light says 105 lumens on the front. how can i find out how bright that
is?
-Hawk616936 (34Q / 800A) Tue Dec 30, 2008 10:47pm

what kind of light is it, flouresant, incandesant?
-estelarobinson (29Q / 1099A) Tue Dec 30, 2008 10:51pm

its an LED head lamp. it says 105 lumens on the front of the package. do you
know how good that is? is it bright enough? how much can it light up?
-Hawk616936 (34Q / 800A) Tue Dec 30, 2008 11:11pm

ok i found this it will be approximate but it should help
tinyurl.com/9kupby
-estelarobinson (29Q / 1099A) Tue Dec 30, 2008 10:55pm

i think that might mean you get 105 lumens per watt anyway

hey mosio. i need some help please. i have a cannon printer and it takes the following ink numbers: color 31, 41, or 51 and black 30, 40, or 50. my question is whats the difference in the numbers. i know that color 41 is $25 at walmart and color 31 is $20 at walmart. why the different prices for the different numbers? thanks for the help mosio. Join or Log In to answer.
Probably b'cause cannon manufactures numerous kinds of printers made specifically for photography and in all these different variations image quality is of the most significant importance.
-duos (0Q / 1000A) Mon Dec 29, 2008 12:42am

There are several different technologies that they use to accomplish this, each depending on the type of printer involved, and therefore each uses various different types of ink.
-duos (0Q / 1000A) Mon Dec 29, 2008 12:42am

does the different numbers mean more or less ink in it? its confusing that
my printer can take so many different ink numbers, and that they are
different prices.

There r no othr movies that are like or compare to BSG! ;) that said: Dune is great. Also, Saga of a Star World (how BSG originated) & Silent Running (according to wiki)

opinions needed please. im thinking of downloading windows xp service pack 3. does anyone use windows xp service pack 3? if yes, is it worth upgrading? does it change anything useful from service pack 2? thanks mosio. Join or Log In to answer.
Its mainly a culmination of all service patches after SP2. I didn't find any improvement nor deteriation of my systems. Always best to let them fix what they broke.

I always thought the end-of-life service packs from M$ tended to break things to entice you to upgrade. I know this was true with win2k, and I've seen more than one report that XP users needed to roll back to SP2.

Wouldn't know - I switched to open source about the time Vista came out. I haven't used windows in about a year.
-rivalarrival (88Q / 1920A) Thu Dec 4, 2008 2:55pm

(To rivalarrival)
so you have vista? is it worth getting vista?
-Hawk616936 (34Q / 800A) Thu Dec 4, 2008 2:59pm

(To Hawk616936)
No, I use Linux - Ubuntu, primarily, but a few other distros as well. The only good things I ever heard about vista were aesthetics. For any given machine, XP is faster and more reliable.

what was the cost for a good pair of leather gloves in the year 1914 and the year 1917? what would those prices compare to these days? prices in usa please. thanks mosio Join or Log In to answer.
Looking online the average price seems to be about $30. I used this inflation calculator (http://tinyurl.com/4j8njp) and it gives me 1.43 and 1.66 for 1914 and 1917 respectively. I'm not sure how accurate that is.

hey mosio, i need opinions please. i have seen in movies where 2 people are scuba diving and they both run out of air, then the put there mouths together and keep breathing back and forth into each others mouths. my question is, would that even work with the amount of co2 we breath out? im thinking it wont b/c theres no o2 being transferred, only co2. thats my thought, now i would like your thoughts about this. thanks mosio. The only way this would work is if one had a tank of oxygen and they were sharing this oxygen.

thats what i thought. thanks.
-Hawk616936 (34Q / 800A) Sat Nov 22, 2008 1:07pm

Actually, it would work for a very short while - even our exhaled breath contains fairly high levels of oxygen.
-rivalarrival (88Q / 1920A) Sat Nov 22, 2008 1:07pm

Comments:
You'd only get a half-dozen useful breaths, though...
-rivalarrival (88Q / 1920A) Sat Nov 22, 2008 1:07pm

(To rivalarrival)
maybe thats all is needed to get to the surface.
-Hawk616936 (34Q / 800A) Sat Nov 22, 2008 1:08pm

thanks
-Hawk616936 (34Q / 800A) Sat Nov 22, 2008 1:08pm

Wouldn't this be the same as if you just held your own breathe then?
-poppeseed (130Q / 600A) Sat Nov 22, 2008 1:09pm

(To poppeseed)
Yeah, but you're tricking your lungs into thinking your still breathing, and you're purging the alveoli, which contain the highest concentrations of CO2.
-rivalarrival (88Q / 1920A) Sat Nov 22, 2008 1:10pm

(To poppeseed)
maybe, but when you pass air into some one else your lungs are still moving, as if you hold your breath, your lungs dont move
-Hawk616936 (34Q / 800A) Sat Nov 22, 2008 1:11pm

(To Hawk616936)
I get where you're coming from. Just seems unbelievable to me. :|
-poppeseed (130Q / 600A) Sat Nov 22, 2008 1:12pm

(To poppeseed)
I don't think it's standard procedure, or even likely - your energy is probably better spent getting to the surface than meeting up with your dive partner to swap spit.
-rivalarrival (88Q / 1920A) Sat Nov 22, 2008 1:37pm

it'd work to an extent, like cpr.
but if you are diving and run out of air you make an emergency ascent, the air expands in your lungs as you rise

thanks
-Hawk616936 (34Q / 800A) Sat Nov 22, 2008 1:08pm

but i thought if you come back up too quickly its bad for you b/c your body wasn't able to decompress.
