Senior Software Engineer – PHP
Mosio creates mobile text messaging software catering to the clinical research industry. Our software helps solve the biggest challenges in patient recruitment and retention in clinical trials using the most popular channel on mobile phones, text messaging. Our solutions are used to improve engagement in study participants, maintain protocol compliance and to collect data through two-way text message communications through a suite of next-generation mobile messaging features. Mosio is 7 years old, profitable and growing.
The Position
We’re looking for a senior developer to join our team and lead feature implementation projects and participate in designing new functionality.
Our platform is based on the LAMP stack, and our agile development process uses the Scrum framework.
Skills & Requirements
PHP – We’ll ask to see a strong portfolio demonstrating your expertise at writing great programs in PHP. You should show all aspects of development, including: Object-oriented design, Knowledge of commonly used MVC frameworks, Readable and maintainable code
MySQL – We expect you to write good, efficient queries, and know how to test and debug your queries for performance gains. You don’t need to be a DB Administrator, but you do need to know how MySQL and INNODB generally work.
JavaScript – Like any modern web UI, we use a lot of JavaScript, mostly based around jQuery. You should be comfortable with jQuery-based JavaScript, finding and evaluating plugins, and working with DataTables.
Teamwork – We’re a small, remote team, but we get things done by working together and communicating well. Tell us about how you work, how you communicate, and demonstrate your ability to meet deadlines.
Nice to have:
- NoSQL experience
- Experience with payment systems
- Understanding of Scrum
- Practice with Jira
- HIPAA Compliance training
- Understanding of the Clinical Trials industry
