4. Use a twisting motion as you slide eartip in your ear.

One more is it says not to moisten with spit as that's not hygienic. I suppose you gotta do what you gotta do, but...

Moisten the flanged eartip.
Pull your ear up and out to straighten your ear canal.
Insert it into ear canal like an earplug, w/twisting motion. Open your mouth slightly while you do this.
