lol finally got to top tier tech support at vonage. they want me to ask my isp about propagation delays apparently the SIP constantly times out.

i'm on satellite based "dsl" ATT MOBILITY. Oh, its lag, but the thing is the vonage worked for over a year until about a week ago. Something changed. Long distance to qatar is why family has it set up.

problem existed BEFORE the hurricane made landfall. it just quit working. Had some connection issues a few days before the hurricane, isp had problems, but vonage was before that. was waiting on dad for account info before I called them then ike came by

You're wasting your time talking to vonage, then. It sounds like your connection was slowly degrading, then the ISP recognized they had problems, and right now, you're on the back-burner until they resolve the bigger issues.
