where is the best place to park if you are seeing a show at the staples center in la?

Parking meters on street that is approx 2 blocks east & is 1 way north (head east; it is first or second left turn after train tracks).

The only best parking I can find here is Staples Center Parking which is hassle-free but quite expensive.
