Though it was almost 20 years ago, the theme song for the Seoul Olympics, "Hand in Hand", remains fresh in the memories of many Chinese.

Hand in Hand's composer, Giorgio Moroder, an Italian musician based in Hollywood, has joined hands with a renowned Chinese pianist to compete for Beijing Olympic glory. Moroder is known for his theme song writing talent.

The official Olympic Anthem was written by a Greek composer Spyros Samaras worked with Greek poet Costis Palamas on the anthem.The anthem was first performed at the Summer Games in Athens in 1896.

In 1958, the International Olympic Committee named it the official anthem of the Olympics, and it's been played at every opening ceremony since 1964 (according to Wikipedia).
