The Presbyterian Church is a Protestant denomination which developed from the doctrines of Calvinist Churches of Switzerland & France. "Presbyterian" refers not so much to a particular set of doctrines but instead to a form of church govt.

A current debate between Presbyterian conservatives and liberals involves the question of whether or not Jesus is the "savior of the world." They do not believe that a person has to be baptized in order to go to heaven.
