what makes you think they would keep the drivers disks for a old piece of hardware?

yea i'm only finding datasheets too. your best bet would be to call a vendor or manufacturer of this part.

originally OEM'd from Avago Technologies (im assuming) to HP (since it has there logo on it. I would assume it would be discontinued by now.

i emailed avago tech support last night and they quickly replied this morning: "I assume you are referring to software drivers. The HFBR-5205 does not require software drivers.

just cuz they discontinued the part doesn't mean they would delete the whole database of drivers for it. i bet HP still offers support on their old products, being such a big company. and who knows, maybe your assumptions are wrong.
