Why does Lost, which has been so much fun for yrs, now seem kind of boring?

apparently up until recently the writers didn't have an end date for the show so they didn't have a timeline to wrap up all the mysteries and questions.

it could be because the writers have set an end-date. They're starting to bring things to a close, and presumably have the answers figured out themselves. I think before they were free-thinking, and now they have an outline.

I have really enjoyed the past few episodes.
The last one was predictable for me though..
Maybe they're playing catch up after the writers strike?
