Question
How much is 30in-lbs of torque? I do not have anything that measures torque. Will just tightening by hand be sufficient? Thank you. Join or Log In to answer.
the measurement is how much the torque is. depends on what part it is, if it specifically asks for a torque rating there's usually a reason. if you can't afford to buy one, go to an autozone or oreilly's and borrow a Torque Wrench.

Best bet is to use a torque wrench. You can do it by hand but if you over tighten you can risk bolts breaking, stripping etc or under tightened parts moving on you. It can make much difference in accuracy and dependability.
