Strangely holding F8 during boot up brings up a boot menu where theres no option for safe mode. Any other ideas?

Note: With some computers if you press and hold a key as the computer is booting you will get a stuck key message. If this occurs, instead of pressing and holding the "F8 key", tap the "F8 key" continuously until you get the startup menu.

To get into the Windows Safe mode, as the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key" which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" as shown below. Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key.

I updated drivers on my PC, and now when I restart, after Windows loads, nothing appears. Black screen. What can I do?

restart in safe mode then use system restore to take you back to old drivers.

If iT's an OS with a bootdisc just boot from the disc and it will format the drive for you...google it for more details
