In Oregon, what is state law concerning work breaks? Specifically for a 9 hour shift.

all employees 18 and over must receive a meal break of 30 minutes if they have worked six hours or more. This must be an uninterrupted time period during which the worker is relieved of all of his or her duties, & it may b an unpaid break.

What about other breaks? We are given 2 10 min breaks in addition to 1 hour unpaid lunch, and a coworker believes that state law says 15 minute breaks.

also states that if the shift is b/w six and seven hours in length, the meal break must be between the second and fifth hour worked. If the shift is over seven hours long, the meal break should fall between the third and sixth hour worked.

opinions needed please. im thinking of downloading windows xp service pack
3. does anyone use windows xp service pack 3? if yes, is it worth upgrading?
does it change anything useful from service pack 2? thanks mosio.

Its mainly a culmination of all service patches after SP2. I didn't find any improvement nor deteriation of my systems. Always best to let them fix what they broke.

I always thought the end-of-life service packs from M$ tended to break things to entice you to upgrade. I know this was true with win2k, and I've seen more than one report that XP users needed to roll back to SP2.

No, I use Linux - Ubuntu, primarily, but a few other distros as well. The only good things I ever heard about vista were aesthetics. For any given machine, XP is faster and more reliable.

plasma is typically more $, but has deeper clearer picture than lcd. Also plasma is a lot lighter if portability is an issue

LCD. No risk of ghost images, don't get has hot and use less energy ($50 differnce when we switched). The image is great. If you're getting something big plasma has a better picture, but 42" and under its not a huge difference in quality.
