Yea i know but i year bracelets that are made from some wool like material and i believe that conducts electricity
and ESD strap would be ideal but I would take everything off your hands and wrists including rings, power off the pc, unplug it, then press the power button again to purge the capictors and your good to go

I do have one but the problem i can't take my bracelets off they are tied permanently and i would have to cut them off
Don't worry about the ESD strap. Power cycling with the supply unplugged won't discharge all the capacitors either. I wouldn't worry about the bracelet - just make sure skin touches bare metal of the case before you touch anything else.

The idea is to make sure that you and the case are at the same voltage potential (grounded) while you are working on it. Even if the bracelet could build up static, it would pass through you to the chassis, harmlessly.

My computer doesn't go past post and it doesn't boot but fans and power supply are working wat could be the cause?

Ditto on the hard drive, sometimes a bad drive will cause it to lag during the HD detection, give it 1-2 minutes, or disconnect all IDE & SATA devices. After that, I'm thinking RAM.

But wouldn't any hardware problem have any sort of bsod i don't think it would totally take the display out unless it was the mobo itself or over heating
And also its not the graphics card cuz i installed one and it didn't work either and also the fans are faster than usual and they don't change speeds
if you're getting completely past post, then next thing i'd check is data corruption. can you coot from a live cd?

Press back and up at the same time. This should reset the device. You may also need to plug it into a power source. Also make sure the hold switch on the top of your Zune device is set to “off” while you are performing these steps.
