If they are particularly stupid, do circle-jerk pushups - 4 people arranged in a square, each person has their feet on the next person's back. Pushup by the numbers - 1 is halfway down, 2 is down, 3 is halfway up, 4 is up. And hang on 3 for awhile.
-rivalarrival (88Q / 1934A) Wed Nov 12, 2008 6:13pm

Ooh, that's a great combo for liver failure... Aspirin and Acetaminophen are bad news. Ibuprofen is a bit safer. Large doses of B-vitamins can help with a hangover. Energy shots have huge doses, try those.
-rivalarrival (88Q / 1934A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 8:37am

Also, taking an energy shot before you start drinking isn't a bad idea...
-rivalarrival (88Q / 1934A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:00am

Something called not drinking might help too. lol
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 4:04pm

hydrate before sleep, and if hangover is bad, then hair of the dog

whats the fun of that?
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 8:46pm

i typically don't :) unless its wine, and thats a sulfides issue. like I said HYDRATE is #1 super secret bartender hangover trick.
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 8:50pm

(To Mangangali)
lol all that precaution just to get intoxicated.
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 8:53pm

(To ElToRo15)
no, drink a bigass glass of water before sleep, fill bigass glass of water and leave next to bed for when you wake up to piss.
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 8:55pm

(To ElToRo15)
hangover = dehydration, build up of toxins (lack of water to get it out of system) alcohol is a poison you know.

hangover = dehydration, build up of toxins (lack of water to get it out of system) alcohol is a poison you know.
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 8:57pm

(To Mangangali)
A poison huh? Still don't get why people like it. Especially my step father. Guy has liquor all over the house. Basement, attic, everywhere!
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:00pm

(To ElToRo15)
you may be one of the "lucky" ones who never drink, or you wait and get hooked on it harder then others later in life.
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:05pm

(To Mangangali)
I have drunk Alcohol before. People hype it up too much. I usually take a small shot of Mamajuana when I go to vacation to D.R. Living without alcohol isn't so horrible as some people might put it.
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:10pm

(To ElToRo15)
translation for you would be living without videogames. none, not even the ones on your cellphone
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:11pm

(To Mangangali)
That would only apply to someone who drinks EVERY DAY. I don't know any person who drink daily. Even people who like alcohol know that's not healthy. You can compare some thing like drinking alcohol which is dangerous to playing video games, which is harm
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:14pm

(To ElToRo15)
they are called functional drunks and they are out there. an ADDICTION is an ADDICTION.
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:16pm

(To ElToRo15)
an the point youre "missing" is the social interaction that comes with going out for drinks. Yes you can have fun without it. But people are uptight and can't loosen up around strangers without "liquid courage"
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:18pm

(To Mangangali)
So in other words, you need "liquid courage" to help you open conversations with people?
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:20pm

(To Mangangali)
And there's a difference between an addiction that hurts your body and an addiction that doesn't.
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:23pm

(To ElToRo15)
me? nope, I can cut the filly from the herd. I'm a bartender, the party starts and feeds off of my energy
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:24pm

(To Mangangali)
And if you weren't the bartender?
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:25pm

(To ElToRo15)
Nope, an addiction is an addiction. locking yourself in a room (or wherever) playing games is just as bad
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:26pm

(To Mangangali)
Sorry mang, I just don't agree wih you on that one. Let's say if someones addicted to knitting. IS that the same as being addicted to alcohol? Hell no it isn't
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:27pm

(To ElToRo15)
You can see it however you want to, its the same. But addicted to knitting? yeah, ok.
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:31pm

(To ElToRo15)
Guess you're right, drinking is bad, people shouldn't spend thier hard earned money on it. But if you are right, how is it a multibillion industry?
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:33pm

(To Mangangali)
I've seen it. My crafts teacher during my senior year was ALWAYS knitting something. She told us it was something she was obsessed about.
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:34pm

(To Mangangali)
I'm not telling people how to spend there money. But don't wake up in the morning complaining about a hang over. It's a multi billion dollar industry for the same reason Video games are. It helps most people escape from their daily lives. What's the diffe
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:38pm

(To ElToRo15)
difference? One eventually fucks up your liver and the other doesn't.
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:40pm

(To ElToRo15)
http://www.mosio.com/fyi.php?id=UHFMYV video games about 35 year existance. alcohol been around since the dawning of mankind
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:42pm

(To ElToRo15)
yeah the other just hurts your social intection and cardiopulmonary health. each has its downfall. video games aren't "harmless"
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:44pm

(To Mangangali)
lol I'm stuck at work for 17 hours. What do you expect me to do, have a drink? It doesn't matter when video games where into existence it still doesn't change the fact that alcohol fucks up your liver.
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:45pm

(To ElToRo15)
so does sitting on your ass all day for 17 hours playing video games. you don't he anyone bitching that you do that all day eh?
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:47pm

(To Mangangali)
You let yourself become unhealthy because you want to. Not because of video games. I run half an hour everyday on the treadmill so my health aint so bad. Social Intection? I know most of your friends drink, right? Same goes with me, most of my games play
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:48pm

(To ElToRo15)
games and or have some understanding of them.
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:49pm

(To ElToRo15)
Actually nope, most my friends don't drink. They went through thier phase. An online existence isn't the same as RL.
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:52pm

(To ElToRo15)
Here's the deal. Alcohol has gotten me laid by some damn fine women (out of my league) can you say the same about video games?
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:53pm

(To Mangangali)
So I'm "addicted" to video games. I take my 360 to work so I can stay awake and not fall asleep. Someone that's "addicted" to liquor would be able to this. Cause, like you said, it's a poison. My employer wouldn't want me poisiong myself now would they? T
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:54pm

(To ElToRo15)
This is what seperates the two
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:55pm

(To ElToRo15)
I've never had a job where I can do something like play games and get paid for it. When I'm working, I'm actually working even when I'm not there are a host of things that need to be done.
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:56pm

(To Mangangali)
No. I can't say that about video games. And that's where you just proved me right. An addiction isn't just an addiction. Especially when your comparing video games to alcohol. Besides, that just shows you need alcohol for help.
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:56pm

(To Mangangali)
I'm a security guard. I recieve trucks. My employer doesn't care what I do as long as I'm not DRUNK or falling asleep.
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 9:57pm

(To Mangangali)
Whatever mang, i g2g. Good luck rebuilding your life. Make sure you stay off that poison of yours.
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 10:00pm

(To ElToRo15)
try again. All that statement said is there are benefits to drinking. Still waiting on the benefits of video games. I know you are at the "I can get any girl I want" age.
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 10:00pm

(To Mangangali)
I forgot that everything in life to you is Alcohol and Pussy. Sorry to disagree. Good night to you, sir.
-ElToRo15 (182Q / 724A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 10:03pm

(To ElToRo15)
wrong vice. lol. I can drink, but I'm not much of a drinker anymore. Get to the point where you support yourself and then lecture me, remember I've btdt and gone back for more.
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 10:04pm

(To ElToRo15)
dude, for whatever reason you got mad and pissy. read all this again when you wake up. never said you were addicted, said the translation for you would be no video games. Never attacked your job, said *I* didn't work someplace like that.
-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 10:08pm

(To ElToRo15)

-Mangangali (18Q / 6935A) Sat Nov 8, 2008 10:08pm

(To rivalarrival)
Just FYI, you are totally correct about acetaminophen...it can be hard on the liver in large amounts, so it is not the best pain reliever to use along with alcohol, which is also hard on the liver. As far as aspirin, it is in the same family as ibuprofen
-meowdoc (30Q / 445A) Sun Nov 9, 2008 7:17am

(To meowdoc)
Both are NSAIDS, but their chemical composition and side effects are very different. The gastrointestinal and hepatic side effects of ibuprofen are less likely and less severe than those of aspirin.
-rivalarrival (88Q / 1934A) Sun Nov 9, 2008 7:31am

(To Mangangali)
Mang, are you pissing off your friends again? What have I told you about that?
-rivalarrival (88Q / 1934A) Sun Nov 9, 2008 7:34am

(To rivalarrival)
DANG IT! The FYI cut off my msg...it was long. Anyway, I was letting you know acetamin. is not a TRUE NSAID: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NSAID, http://tinyurl.com/5c73bd
-meowdoc (30Q / 445A) Sun Nov 9, 2008 5:44pm

(To rivalarrival)
so I am NOT trying to start ANYthing with you NOR am I upset at Mang. Just wanted to let you know to recommend aspirin, naproxen, or ibuprofen but NOT acetaminophen with alcohol b/c THEY are harder on stom. and kidn. as opposed to aceta (liver).
-meowdoc (30Q / 445A) Sun Nov 9, 2008 5:46pm

(To meowdoc)
I know, I know, I agree - Acetaminophen is the worst thing you can take... I was saying that between ibuprofen and aspirin, ibuprofen is generally better for a hangover, due to aspirin's more prevalent and severe side effects. My last comment was to manga
-rivalarrival (88Q / 1934A) Sun Nov 9, 2008 6:17pm

(To rivalarrival)
ok, totally got it. We're on the same page now. Laughing b/c YOUR comment was cut off, too looks like. Also understand last comment (re eltoro). Thread finished!!!
-meowdoc (30Q / 445A) Sun Nov 9, 2008 6:27pm

(To ElToRo15)
Man, you don't want to know anyone who drinks daily. Some of my friends did the thing Mang mentioned - never drank then got hooked bad... it sucks.
-indygurl1125 (32Q / 237A) Mon Nov 10, 2008 11:15am
