What's a good red wine that would compliment pasta with a white cream sauce and chicken? Join or Log In to answer.
I'd go with a white wine with chicken and cream sauce, but if your heart is set on a red, go with a 2005 Bordeaux, it won't overpower the mild white sauce.

decant it and let it breathe for about an hour.

Creamy sauces need a white wine. If you’re making a classic carbonara, serve a generous fruity white such as Chardonnay, but if it’s a basic mushroom, garlic and cream sauce, stick to inexpensive, crisp Italian whites such as Frascati.

What does it mean by kosher food? Isnt it from the jewish religion? Crystal Join or Log In to answer.
Kosher foods are those that conform to Jewish law.
-barbiedoll (0Q / 930A) Fri Apr 18, 2008 7:46pm

Kosher food is food that meets Jewish dietary laws,or kashrut, which comes from the Hebrew word for "fit" or "proper." Any food can be called kosher food if it adheres to Jewish law, or halacha.
-DoubleVI (0Q / 1581A) Fri Apr 18, 2008 7:46pm

Conversely, foods typically labeled as "Jewish" aren't necessarily kosher. The word "kosher" is not only used for food, however. Kosher basically means that something follows all the Jewish legal guidelines.
-DoubleVI (0Q / 1581A) Fri Apr 18, 2008 7:47pm

Do they have restrictions on what they can and cant eat? Crystal
-crystal1987 (247Q / 76A) Fri Apr 18, 2008 7:49pm

The basics of the Jewish dietary laws are
1)Not eating pork, shellfish or other unkosher animals
2)Not mixing dairy and meat
