Not much - when your lender goes under, it is because they can't meet their debt-load. Your loan will be transferred to your lender's creditors, just like your house would go to your lender if you defaulted.

That creditor can't materially change the terms of your contract with the original lender, unless you are in breach of that contract. If YOU breach, any and all penalties for such breach can be exercised - don't expect leniency.

Fair enough - but here's the thing: ALL of the ex-girlfriends I still talk to have long-term-dated/married guys named mike. two of my friends from school married guys named mike. All are now divorced with restraining orders against them.
