What was the supreme court decision that gave corporations the rights of an individual? Join or Log In to answer.
Minneapolis & St. Louis Railroad v.
Beckwith [1889]
Supreme Court rules a corporation is a “person” for both due
process and equal protection.
-ShadowOfBlood (4Q / 18A) Mon Nov 26, 2007 11:04am

Santa Clara County v. Southern Pacific Railroad Company (1886) is usually misinterpreted as granting corporations the rights of persons. In fact, the actual case did not discuss the question, but it is usually referred to anyway.
-eliah (16Q / 60A) Mon Nov 26, 2007 11:04am

Noble v. Union River Logging [1893]
For the first time corporations have claim to the Bill of Rights.
The 5th Amendment says: “...nor be deprived of life, liberty, or
property, without due process of law.”
-ShadowOfBlood (4Q / 18A) Mon Nov 26, 2007 11:04am

Hale v. Henkel [1906]
Corporations get 4th Amendment “search and seizure”
protection.
-ShadowOfBlood (4Q / 18A) Mon Nov 26, 2007 11:05am

Armour Packing Co. v. U.S. [1908]
Corporations get 6th Amendment right to jury trial in a criminal
case. A corporate defendant was considered an “accused” for
6th Amendment purposes.
-ShadowOfBlood (4Q / 18A) Mon Nov 26, 2007 11:06am

Pennsylvania Coal Co. v. Mahon [1922]
Corporations get 5th Amendment “takings clause”: “...nor shall
private property be taken for public use, without just
compensation.” A regulation is deemed a takings.
-ShadowOfBlood (4Q / 18A) Mon Nov 26, 2007 11:06am

Taft-Hartley Act [1947]
Corporations are granted “free speech” in the union certification
process, usurping the worker’s right to “freedom of association” and
greatly weakening the Labor Relations Act of 1935.
-ShadowOfBlood (4Q / 18A) Mon Nov 26, 2007 11:07am

I'm going to stop there :D
-ShadowOfBlood (4Q / 18A) Mon Nov 26, 2007 11:07am

Can water freeze at -273 k? Join or Log In to answer.
-273k is impossible, Kelvin starts at absolute zero and works up. but at -273C, water will be frozen, yes.
-sharkey (96Q / 1500A) Mon Nov 26, 2007 9:37am

water freezes at 0 k. any temperature below that will definitely freeze water.
-slikwacko (0Q / 2407A) Mon Nov 26, 2007 9:43am

Kelvin starts at 0, so there's no temperature below 0K. 0k is the coldest known temperature in the universe. Water will definitely freeze at 0k.
-ShadowOfBlood (4Q / 18A) Mon Nov 26, 2007 10:19am

Where can I find a program that will mass visit a youtube video page and cause the views to go up? I think it'd have to reset cookies each time and possibly alternate through IP addresses. Or, how can I make one? Join or Log In to answer.

http://www.cobrandit.com/blog/2006/11/how_to_game_youtube.html
this tactic involves making fake accounts and setting up bots to hit your video repeatedly.
-slikwacko (0Q / 2407A) Sun Nov 25, 2007 10:10pm

That's a neat idea. But.. does anyone know how I can set up bots to do that?
-ShadowOfBlood (4Q / 18A) Sun Nov 25, 2007 10:28pm

not sure how to do that. takes some advanced programming skills.

For me, yes. Probably just the electricity passing through the filament or something.

I need to create a costume for a video I'm going to make. The costume has to be a replica of Altair from Assassin's Creed. I know how to make the weapons, but how do I make the rest of the costume? I don't really know how to sew :\ I have a sewing machine and manual, so I can at least do that much, but the rest I'm clueless on. I don't really have much money to go out and buy patterns and fabric, so is there any alternatives? Like printable patterns or using sheets instead of linen, etc. You can find a picture of Altair by Googling Assassins Creed Altair. Thanks :) Join or Log In to answer.
Good pictures of Altair from Assassin's Creed is available in Goolge Images.Check it out!!!

-ShadowOfBlood (4Q / 18A) Sun Nov 25, 2007 8:45pm

Either (a) learn to sew, (b) find someone who can sew, or (c) talk to this dude, http://tinyurl.com/3847ql , who already made his own costume.
